UPDATE: Norilsk TETs-2 plant catches fire, one person killed

KRASNOYARSK/MOSCOW, Aug 3 (PRIME) -- The Norilsk TETs-2 plant of Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company, part of metals giant Norilsk Nickel group, caught fire early on Monday, killing one worker, a spokesperson for the Emergency Ministry’s local branch told reporters.

Oil caught fire on an area of five square meters in the electrical service department, where repair works were being carried out, the spokesperson said.

The Energy Ministry said repair works are currently underway and there are no consequences for consumers.
